Digital Producer

The Digital Producer will be responsible for conceptualizing and integrating digital content into The Cipher Brief’s website. This position will partner with internal editorial, analysis, creative, and marketing teams to identify and act on cross-platform digital opportunities. Candidates for this position should have a strong interest in the digital space and will be responsible for further development and innovation of TCB’s capabilities. Initial focus will be heavily weighted toward video.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Development and creative execution of digital campaigns for all channels of business (editorial, marketing, social media, promotion of events, and product development)
  • Work collaboratively with editorial and design team to translate editorial content, brand strategy and business goals into innovative digital design solutions
  • Actively pitch digital content for development and segments for weekly and daily deliverables
  • Build and maintain fully scalable, video delivery infrastructures for the web
  • Maintain and help develop TCB branding through media products

Skills & Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of television, digital, or film experience with editing and shooting experience
  • Fluency with design programs and motion graphics
  • Extensive experience leading the creation of innovative digital strategies, workflows and optimization
  • Demonstrates a knowledge of 3rd party players and/or frameworks, ad systems, video content management and distribution systems
  • Proven ability to think and work across platforms and adapt strategies to quickly take advantage of emerging technologies and platforms
  • Thinks like a producer and performs well under deadlines
  • Keen eye for detail and quality control
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in person and over email
  • Being a strong collaborator is essential
  • Interest in the security space is preferred
