Just graduating and looking for your first big break? A career changer? Or just looking for some tips on how to land your next job in the industry? Join us Thursday, September 3, at American University for our annual panel discussion "Getting Started in Your Media Career."

Our moderator will be Shane Yeager of DC Visionaries. Shane is a TIVA board member at large; DC Visionaries focuses on video, animation and photography worldwide.

Our panelists will include:

  • Ralph Cooper, Capital Talent Agency
    Ralph moved in late 2013 to the East Coast from a lifetime in Los Angeles, where he spent the past 20 years in the television, film, and voiceover businesses, both as a producer and an agent.
  • Lamont Easter, Actor, Model, Voiceover
    Lamont Easter was born in Annapolis, Maryland and raised in San Diego, California; he works on television series such as VEEP, House of Cards, and Madam Secretary, among other films and television shows.
  • Nils Granholm, Cavus Media LLC
    Nils Granholm is the co-founder of Cavus Media, providing graphic design, photography, mobile apps, web development and more.
  • Lars Sandvik, President, and Amy Krueger, Vice President, ThunderShot Studios
    Lars Sandvik and Amy Krueger are the creative minds behind innovation in studio/sound stage productions in the DMV. They have built a Hollywood-caliber studio that improves the production experience, reducing time and money needed to finish your production needs.

Networking/food and drink will begin at 6:30, and the panel discussion will begin at 7:00 p.m. There will be a short Q&A afterward.
