Peer Awards FAQ

How are the Peer Awards Judged?
Entries are judges by a panel of distinguished professionals. For Production categories, the judges are asked to consider: objectives; audience; design and organization; treatment; techniques; writing; directing; editing; creativity; camera work; lighting; audio; talent. For Skills categories, judges examine how the discipline enhances the appeal and effectiveness of a piece; whether the discipline is used to its best advantage; whether the work exhibits technical qualities that are above average; and whether the work is original, imaginative and innovative.

When and where are the Peer Awards presented? The awards ceremony will be held on Saturday evening, November 22nd at the National Press Club, 529 14th Street, NW (at F Street), Washington, DC  20045.  Take the elevator to the top floor.

Who comes the Peer Awards ceremony?
Over 300 professionals involved in production for television, the Internet and video attend this event.   Producers, directors, editors, scriptwriters, talent (on-camera and voiceover), animators, and many more crafts are represented.  For many, the Peer Awards ceremony is the one must-attend event of the year.
